Dublin favourite, "the pub crawl" but with a
difference:
Departing from Dublin city centre, we will
visit five of Dublin's most authentic pubs, populated with real
old time Dubliner's. Along the way you will be enthralled with
fantastic vistas of the city, views over the beautiful Dublin
bay and photogenic scenes across the Dublin mountains, complete
with an entertaining and informative commentary. You will be
free for a half an hour in each pub to sample the atmosphere.
The price includes a Table D'hote meal
and entrance tp Johnny Foxe's
traditional Irish hooley night

Pick up is at 5pm at a
location suitable to you. We will get to know each other
as we make our way out of the city towards Rathfarnham, the
official starting point of our tour.
We will take you up into the hills from Rathfarnham, whilst
trying not to bore you, we will tell you a little of the
history of the places we travel through and also point out the
houses of the rich and famous as we pass.
The first pub we visit will be the "Merry Ploughboy",
recently taken over by traditional Irish band; "The Merry
ploughboys", hence the name. We'll mix in with the locals.
hopefully there'll be a session going, if not there's likely to
be something to debate

Next it will be on through the mountains towards our next
pub "Taylors Three Rock", this beautiful thatched pub named
after the mountain it sits beneath has three bars, we'll
be heading straight to the snug for a bit of
banter.

Then we'll head along the Black Glen Road enjoying
unrivaled views over the city, equally stunning by day and by
night, to Lamb Doyle's pub, once again we'll pop in have a
drink and see what's going on there, sampling once again the
view over the city from their balcony.

After that, we'll take the steep climb up through
Barnacuille, to the "Blue Light Pub" with it's brilliant views
over the bay, this pub is extremely popular both with locals
and with bikers and is almost guaranteed to serve up a bit of
the craic.

Finally it's onwards and upwards to "Johnny Foxes" the
highest pub in Ireland, a veritable museum, with tons of
memorabilia all around, we can sit by the real turf fire before
enjoying a nice meal and their famous
Traditional Irish Hooley night,
before finally returning home tired and exhausted, some time
after midnight.
